Who we are and what this policy covers

Veda Nakshatra provides Vedic astrology tools, personalised reports, consultations and Veda AI through vedanakshatra.com. This policy explains how information is handled when you use these services or contact our practice.

Information you provide

Depending on the service, we receive your name, email, phone number, gender, birth date, local birth time, birthplace and coordinates, preferred language, questions, appointment preferences and messages. A relationship or child report may also require another person's birth details. Share those details only when you have appropriate permission or parental or guardian authority.

Account sign-in can supply your identity and email through the sign-in provider. Orders also contain payment references, payment status and the report or service requested. Hosting and security services may process IP addresses, browser information and technical logs when serving or protecting the website.

Why we use information

We use relevant details to calculate charts, prepare and deliver reports, answer questions, manage profiles and conversations, arrange consultations, confirm payments, respond to support requests and prevent misuse. Information necessary for payment, accounting, dispute handling or legal obligations may be retained for those purposes.

Some report interpretations and Veda AI responses use AI assistance. Relevant questions, birth or chart information and conversation context may be sent to the AI or astrology service providers needed to produce the requested response. Avoid including unrelated sensitive information in your question.

Service providers and payments

We use providers for hosting, database and authentication services, email delivery, location lookup, chart services and AI-assisted interpretation. These include Supabase, Google services where used, and other providers required by the selected feature. Provider processing may take place outside India. We do not promise that all service data remains in one country.

Razorpay and its payment partners handle credentials entered in their payment interface. Our order system receives payment references and status; it does not ask you to send card security codes, banking passwords or payment OTPs to the practice. We do not sell your personal information.

Browser storage, tags and your choices

Authentication, saved profiles and chat features may use cookies or browser storage. The report forms also use session storage to reuse details in the same tab. Clearing form details removes that browser copy; it does not delete previously submitted orders, reports or messages from our records.

The website loads Google Tag Manager to manage website tags. Optional analytics, if enabled, must follow applicable consent requirements. We do not use names, contact details, birth details or question text as analytics event content. You can manage cookies and storage in your browser, although disabling essential storage can affect sign-in or saved details.

Retention, security and privacy requests

We keep information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the requested service, support existing orders and meet applicable record-keeping or dispute obligations. We do not claim a fixed automatic deletion period. We use reasonable safeguards, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.

Email our privacy contact to request access, correction or deletion, raise a concern, or withdraw consent where processing relies on it. We may verify your identity and explain any records that must be retained. Withdrawal may prevent us from completing a service that needs the information; it does not make earlier lawful processing invalid.

Children and policy updates

Services should be ordered by adults. A parent or lawful guardian may request a child's report and provide the details needed for that service. Contact us if a child's information was supplied without appropriate authority.

We update this page when our processing practices materially change. The date above identifies the current version. You may contact the practice about this policy or exercise rights available under applicable data-protection law.

Contact and grievances

For a privacy request, use the subject “Privacy request”; for an order issue, include your order reference. Contacting us does not restrict your right to approach a competent consumer or data-protection authority.
